I’m a 23-year-old student at Purdue University studying public health promotion.
Living healthy is one of the greatest parts of my life that I would like to share with others.
In 2009 I was diagnosed with Graves Disease and this is what helped jump-start my journey toward healthy living. Those who aren’t familiar with Graves Disease, it’s an autoimmune disorder that attacks the thyroid gland. Autoimmune disorders are often affected by disruptions in the immune system. Therefore living healthy is not just important but crucial in maintaining my overall health. As of 2012 I have finally gone into remission by eating clean and continuing to be physically active.
I love experimenting with food and creating my own recipes.
I love all different types of exercises: running, yoga, pilates, strength training.
I love eating a clean and healthy diet because of the way it makes me feel. I try to eat clean about 80% of the time.
Kenny is my amazing boyfriend, best friend, and biggest supporter. Among many great attributes his heart is certainly my favorite. He encourages my passion for food and fitness and he stands by me in seeking out my purpose.

like love to do.
I do try to limit myself to just one glass a week but wine is one thing I would never consider cutting out of my life.
The purpose of this blog is to share my passion for health and fitness, and hopefully learn some things about myself and others along the way.
By sharing my journey to find balance in life I hope to encourage and inspire others to do the same.
