Healthy taco pie!

Hey guys! Super bowl is tomorrow and I have an awesome dish to share. It’s a gluten/dairy free taco pie!

After getting 3 hours of sleep last night I needed something super yummy and very easy.

This is dish is full of flavor and takes less than 40 minutes to make.

Oh My! Taco Pie (Gluten and Dairy Free)

6 servings:

250 calories per serving/ 5 WW points plus

Filling:

1 lb. Jenny O Lean Turkey ( or lean beef)

1 medium white onion

4 oz green chilies

1/2 cup Daiya Cheddar Cheese (or other low-fat cheese sub.)

1 packet Taco Seasoning

1 Tb. mined garlic

( add any other vegetables of choice)

Crust:

1/3 cup Bisquick Gluten Free mix

1/2-3/4 cup rice milk (or milk sub)

1 egg

1 egg white

(ingredients for crust will start out in a liquid and rise in the oven)

Alternative Crust:

Pillsbury Croissant rolls

instructions:

Turn oven to 400 degrees

In a large well sprayed pan cook meat, onions, and chilies on your stove top.

In a large dish add crust ingredients and pour mixture in 9 inch pie shell pan.

Once meat is cooked through add taco mix.

Then combine meat mixture to pie shell, on top of crust mixture.

Place in the oven for 25 minutes.

Then top with cheese and leave in the oven for another 3-4 minutes, until cheese is melted.

Once cheese is melted you are ready to serve.

( add salsa, lettuce, tomatoes, guacamole etc.)
